Rabbi Jay Weinstein

As a rabbi with specialized training in spiritual counseling, I assist people in discovering meaning on the journey of life. Helping with trauma, life transitions, relationship issues, parenting, illness, grief and loss. We can also explore issues such as identity and purpose, guilt, shame and forgiveness. Using deep intuitive listening, I will hear you and meet you where you are and will walk with you in your joy, pain, sorrow and fear. In our sessions, sometimes I will use meditation, prayer and when helpful will share wisdom from our sacred texts and tradition. We can also use rituals to mark transitions, positive milestones as well as loss. If desired, together we can create a personal spiritual practice which can aid in healing and personal growth. Of course, I can always connect you with a spiritual community.

 

As a rabbi that practices a Judaism fueled by love, I embrace all people as created in the image of GD, and especially advocate for those who are marginalized, pre-judged or experience discrimination. I have a specialized focus in working with issues of sexual and gender identity, illness, dying, death, grief, and bereavement.
